Hello Millbrook,
The Activities Committee is very excited about the upcoming Picnic-in-the-Park/Park Grand Opening! The weather looks like it is going to cooperate and we are hoping to have a GREAT turnout. Please join us for a fun filled day of playing, fun activities, socializing and a great movie night. Pack your chairs, grills, coolers and blankets and set up for the day.
Giving back – We have two donated items that will be raffled off during the event. A handmade gourmet wine basket and a bag chair with a large Thirty-One bag. Additionally, we will have a nonperishable donation basket located at the table. All proceeds will be given to the Rockland Food Pantry. The raffle will be drawn at 6:55pm before the movie starts.
Here is the days schedule:
Jenny the Juggler – 2-4pm
A Fire truck for All Occasions – 4-6pm
DJ Paul Sacco – 4 – 7pm – music for the whole family
Cynergy Cross Fit demonstration – 4- 5pm (adults and children welcome)
Face painting – 4pm (intermittently until 5:30)
Rockland PD -K9 demonstration, motorcycle and a self-defense class for kids – 5pm
Movie in the park (TBD) with popcorn – 7 – 8:30pm (the movie will be projected up on the Baseball backstop)
Camping in the park (an adult must be present for those under 18) The Rockland police will be notified of the camping. If you are planning to campout, please set up your tents on the outside edge of the park.
