Delinquent Accounts

The neighbors listed below owe their 2011 Homeowners Association Dues or years past. First bills were issued in January 2011 and were due by February 28, 2011. There have been monthly follow up notices. There have also been offers of help to anyone in a difficult situation and still no response. Their account has been issued to the attorney’s office for legal liens to be placed on their property. This will incur attorney fees and interest charges that will eventually be paid by the delinquent homeowner. An unpaid small claims court settlement also affects the credit report of the homeowner.

The only way to have a name removed from this list is to pay the dues in full including late fees. Late fees will not be waived! This is not a violation of privacy. Homeowners associations are not consumer businesses. Members of the association have a right to know the financial status of the association at any time which includes delinquent accounts. Homeowners who do not pay their dues put the financial burdon on the rest of the homeowners in the association. The result of homeowners not paying will be a dramatic increase in the annual dues for those who do pay. The board has a responsibility to insure every homeowner pays their dues.
