Greetings Neighbors,
We wanted to give you an update regarding the water situation at the Millbrook Drive entrance. We realize the water being drained from the home at 418 Beech St is flowing consistently and creating dangerous ice conditions now that the colder weather is here.
The Rockland Highway Department has visited the homeowner several times about this issue as well as the Rockland PD. Today, the building inspector paid them a visit and ordered them to fix the drainage.
The board sent a certified letter to the homeowner ordering them to correct this situation or legal action will be taken.
We took it upon ourselves to install a temporary extended drain pipe that should help reduce the amount of drainage into the street. At the very least, this will make the entrance way safer.
If you are still concerned about this situation, we encourage you to call the Rockland Highway Department at 781-878-0634.
Consider using the Morningside Dr entrance until this situation is solved.
The more people that call, the better chance that more pressure will be placed on the homeowner to correct the drainage problem.
We wanted you to know that the BOD along with some concerned neighbors are taking action to correct this situation.
