Hello Millbrook-
A few announcements on upcoming fall activities within Millbrook:
OKTOBERFEST
Come one, come all……We are looking forward to a great day this Saturday for our second annual OKTOBERFEST!
Date: Saturday, October 19th, 2013
Time: 4pm until whenever
Please come and join us at the baseball diamond area and bring your favorite German foods (BYO), grills, blankets, chairs and family for some community fun and laughs. We will be having a fire again this year, so make sure you bring your smores and sticks.
We are looking to continue our efforts to give back to the community and will have the Food Pantry donation box at all upcoming events for those that would like to make a donation.
We know that it’s a busy time of the year and hope to see you there!
Yard Sale
We are looking forward to ending the season with one more yard sale.
Date: November 2nd, 2013
Time: 9am-2pm
Place: We are looking to have people set up along the outside sidewalk on the Millbrook Dr. side of the Park. Some of the feedback we received from the last yard sale was that it was too far to walk for some people so we are trying to make it easier for people to take their purchases back to their cars.
All are welcome to participate in the yard sale. You will be responsible for transporting your items to the designated area and setting up either on your own table or as you please. Be sure to bring lots of change….Happy sales!
Anyone interested in assisting with the posting of the yard sale, please feel free to reach out to me. We are planning on putting this up on Craigslist as well as in the local papers and online yard sale boards.
Santa in the Park (possibly the Santa Stroll)
SAVE THE DATE…
Date: Sunday, December 8th, 2013
Time: 1-3pm
It’s hard to believe that the Holidays are fast approaching and calendars will be filling up with Holiday fun. The Committee was talking about bringing the Santa Stroll back. Please let us know your thoughts by liking or commenting on facebook so we can make a decision quickly.
The Stroll for those who do not know what it is, starts at the beginning of Franklin Hunt Rd and wraps around the park to the Millbrook park entrance. We will have music playing as we stroll with Santa to the park where he will be exiting to his normal spot to take pictures, handing out treats for both the children and his reindeer.
Thank you again for all of the support and show at the events. Looking forward to seeing you all this weekend.
